Ink-rolled FD-258 cards
We roll classic ink fingerprints onto FD-258 cards — the standard applicant card the FBI and most licensing boards still ask for by name.
Ink cards travel in a way electronic Live Scan often doesn't. If you're applying for a license in another state, renewing a nursing or healthcare credential, or working with an agency that wants a physical card mailed in, an FD-258 is usually what they mean.
Every set is rolled by hand and checked for clean ridge detail before you leave, since a card that comes back rejected means starting over. Thirty years of practice helps with that.
Before you come
A few things help the appointment go quickly. If you can bring these along, you'll be in and out.
-
A valid photo ID A Government issued ID — driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. It does need to be current, since an expired one can't be accepted.
-
Any forms your agency sent you Some employers and licensing boards send their own fingerprint card or a code that has to go on it. It's worth bringing the whole packet, even the parts that look like instructions.
-
Cash Call ahead and we'll tell you the exact amount, so you can stop at the bank first if you need to.
Cash only, please — no credit cards or checks. It's part of how we keep the price reasonable.

Common questions
- Do you use ink cards or electronic Live Scan?
- Ink. We roll prints by hand onto FD-258 cards, which the FBI, state boards, and out-of-state agencies accept and which can be mailed anywhere in the country.
- What is an FD-258 card?
- It's the standard applicant fingerprint card used by the FBI and most licensing agencies — all ten rolled prints plus your identifying details on one card. If your paperwork names a specific card, this is usually it.
- Do I need an appointment?
- Yes, we work by appointment. Most people who call in the morning are printed the same day.
- What do I bring?
- A current Government photo ID, any forms or cards your agency sent you, and cash.
- Do you take credit cards or checks?
- Cash only, I'm afraid. It's part of how the price stays reasonable.
- Where exactly are you?
- Northeast Bend, off Locksley Drive. It's a private home rather than a storefront, so it helps to watch for the house number.
